The Gala honored Catherine Leggett and Photoworks/Karen Keating. Jack Rasmussen, Honorary Gala Chair and Director and Curator of the American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center, gave a wonderful welcome toast and Holly Morris from Fox5 Morning News conducted the awards presentation. Dignitaries and special guests in attendance included National Geographic photographer Sam Abell; Ambassador Constance Morella; Maryland State Delegate Susan Lee; Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett; the Honorable Doug Duncan; Montgomery County Councilmembers Roger Berliner, Cherri Branson, Marc Elrich, and George Leventhal; and philanthropist Carol Trawick.
