    About Caller Janine Smith
The Janine Smith EXPERIENCE is what you get when you cross a howdy-ma'am-BBQ-and beans Honky Tonk with sprinkles and some twinkly lights for sass. She'll bring you a night of fun dances-heck, maybe a Singing Square, whether you're sitting, standing, or somewhere in between. Her teaching is clear and to-the-point, though she has been known to goof around a bit. She brings the party, whether it's to a local Barn Dance, or to a dance weekend in the US, or internationally. Favorite food: Coffee, Superpower: "Reading the room" wherever dancers are ready to whoop it up!

    About the Musicians

TWO-TIME GRAMMY® Award Winners, Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer are master musicians with a career spanning over 35 years. Their superb harmonies are backed by instrumental virtuosity on the guitar, five-string banjo, ukulele, mandolin, cello-banjo, and more. Their repertoire ranges from classic country to western swing, gypsy jazz to bluegrass, and old-time string band to contemporary folk (including some original gems).

Multi-instrumentalist Rachel Eddy (fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, voice) is well-known in the old-time music world, performing at festivals, concerts, and workshops all over the world. An experienced fiddler for dances, Rachel's playing propels the dancers joyfully and effortlessly. Rachel is also a gifted teacher, leading both workshop participants and private students on an incredible journey into the world of old-time music.

Em Hammond provides the rhythm, essential to old time dance music, with driving bass and guitar playing.  Flatfoot dancing is another of Em's talents, the joy of the music expressed in the feet!
